What is the ultimate compressive strength of the laminated rubber bearing?

The ultimate compressive strength of laminated rubber bearings is related to various factors, and its value varies under different standards and usage scenarios, generally being above 70MPa. The details are as follows:

According to GB/T20688.4 – 2007, the measured ultimate compressive strength of ordinary rubber bearings is required to be no less than 70MPa. Among them, the ultimate compressive strength Ru of rectangular bearings is ≥70MPa, and that of circular bearings is ≥75MPa.

In actual use, considering factors such as the deflection of the beam bottom, it is recommended to appropriately increase the ultimate compressive strength to no less than 90MPa.

Under the conditions that the rubber layer of the sandwich rubber pad is tightly bonded to the steel plate, and the first shape factor S1 ≥ 15 and the second shape factor S2 ≥ 3, the maximum compressive strength of ordinary rubber can generally reach 95MPa – 120MPa.

When the S1 of the laminated rubber bearing is > 15, S2 is > 5, and the rubber hardness is no less than 40, the minimum buckling stress value of the bearing is 34MPa, and the specification stipulates that this value should be no more than 30MPa.
